The Fyffe Red Devils hosted the Geraldine Bulldogs Friday night for a conference matchup. The Bulldogs just came off a big win against the Sylvania Rams last week and hoped the momentum would carry into this week, but it didn’t seem to work that way. Fyffe’s Gillilan hasn’t missed a beat stepping in for injured quarterback Rowell and threw one touchdown pass, rushed for two touchdowns, and had no interceptions for the night. Fyffe’s offense dominated the game and put up an impressive 51 points for the night. In the first half, the Red Devils scored 30 points, and in the second half, scored a total of 21 points. #3 Gillilan was the lead rusher for the night with a total of 129 yards on 11 carries while Dukes #26 came in second with 87 yards and one touchdown while Hicks #22 had 67 yards but two touchdowns. With Fyffe’s perfect win record, they hold the first place playoff spot for Region 7 3A. They prepare for Asbury this Friday night. Geraldine should hold the #3 spot for Region 7 as they are in a close race with Sylvania. However, since the Bulldogs beat the Rams, they should clinch that spot. Geraldine prepares for Collinsville this Friday night.
Fyffe’s Streak Continues
